At some point I’ll get myself in a place where there’s more posts in between these annual meet & greet posts, but hey ho, never mind!
It is indeed, nearly-Eroticon time of year again, so herewith my post answering the ‘Meet & Greet’ questions:
NAME (and Twitter if you have one)
Sandra (Sandra Lindsey if there’s more than one of us with the same 1st name), @SLindseyWales
Tell us 3 things you are most looking forward to at Eroticon 2020
1 Seeing people in real life again (& the usual trying to match real faces to profile pics in my head)
2 Saying hello to the lovely sponsors of Eroticon (especially those whose toys I’ve been eyeing up the last few months!)
3 All the sessions! Seriously, they all look so good I hope you’re handing out time turners with our delegate badges, or have a time machine installed because you can’t actually expect us to choose, can you?
What is a song that always makes you want to dance?
Oooh, hard question.
Tainted Love by Soft Cell – lots of memories of dancing to this in pubs, clubs, bedrooms, kitchens & probably other places too, back when I was a student hanging out with goths & glammies :-)
What is the best book you have read in the last 12 months?
OMG this question’s even harder! Just one?
I’m going to have to say A Seditious Affair by KJ Charles, because with the number of times I’ve read it in the past year, it’d be odd to choose something else.
However, honourable mentions also go to:
City of Brass by SA Chakraborty
The Binding by Bridget Collins (both this and the above gave me proper book hangovers)
Band Sinister by KJ Charles, which got me writing again after a year or more of not managing that
River of Teeth by Sarah Gailey, because hippo farming
Made Things by Adrian Tchaikovsky
The Five by Hallie Rubenhold
And, not really read, but definitely a favourite book I’ve gone back to several times in the past year: Dicewriting for Erotica & Erotic Romance by Zak Jane Keir – we’ve had a couple of cracking sessions at my writing group using this book
As you sit writing this post what are three things you are grateful for?
1 Having a job still (not because of anything I’ve done, but the past year at dayjob has been a bit up & down, and the last month has been dominated by ‘how & when can we get goods out of China’)
2 Lovely husband
What is your mobile (cellphone) wallpaper or home screen image?
The one the phone came with – life’s too short to spend time faffing with that when I could be reading books!
If someone gave you £5000 today which you were not allowed to save but had to spend within 24 hours what would you do with it?
Arrgh, another tough question!
My immediate thought was the work that needs doing on the house – but that would take longer than 24 hours, so I guess I’d have to spend it on something pleasure-related?
Hmm… a holiday? Fitting out the workshop & getting the materials & plans to build a boat?
Yeah, I reckon I could spend five grand on a holiday & a boat.
Though, to be honest, I’m sure I could easily spend £5k on books in a single day – it’s finding the time to read them I’d have trouble with!
Complete the sentence:
I need… to move my leg but the cat is using it as a leaning place (woe is me!)
So, there we go, that’s me, and now I’ve posted this I’d better head on over to the Eroticon blog & read everyone else’s!
